I have a few people who have mentored me through life: a few friends that I hold close to my heart, a few teachers, and my mother. These people in particular have helped me the most.

Friends have come and gone, but I have had friends who have been with me through thick and thin. J and D have always been there for me and helped me through everything. Those two are the ones I can always count on to talk to me when I need it. They always give me hope when the future doesn’t look so bright, they give me a shoulder to cry on, and always have my back.

I have had a few teachers that I really clicked with and who actually became my friends, one being my freshman English teacher. She always looked out for me. We had good conversations, and she was my cheer coach, too, so we bonded even more through that. Sometimes when I would get mad or upset, she would talk to me and we would work it out and she would help me feel better.

And lastly, my mother. My mother is a role model for me and she is probably my biggest mentor. Anytime I have a problem with someone or something, I always go to my mom. We usually talk it out and she sets me on the path to success. My mother is an inspiration, successful and strong. I look up to my mom in a lot of lights, and she has been there for me with everything.
